Plastic Punch is a non-profit organization from Ghana. Its mission is to raise awareness of the dangers of plastic waste in the oceans for the environment, wildlife and humans, to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for waste management and at the same time to improve people's living conditions.

Plastic Punch was founded in January 2018 in Accra, Ghana. It consists of an international team of committed professionals and volunteers. They carry out beach cleanups, collect and sort plastic waste and send it for recycling. They also make people aware of microplastics, correct waste sorting and plastic avoidance.

The reason for this is that the beaches in Ghana are full of alluvial plastic waste and microplastics can be found in abundance in the fish and seafood caught. Also only 2 percent of the plastic waste in the country is recycled.

Plastic Punch is currently running projects in Ghana with the aim of transferring its activities to other countries once the business model is fully operational.

Supporting partners include France, the European Union and the United Nations Development Program.
