Plate Recognizer
Plate Recognizer is a leading global provider of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software.
History
Plate Recognizer was originally developed by a team led by Marc B. After selling one of his software companies, Marc left France and headed over to Hungary to focus full-time on Plate Recognizer.
Software
Plate Recognizer provides Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software that works in all environments, optimized for your location. The ANPR engine works with blurry, low, dark images, plates with icons or two rows of text, multiple license plates in one image, plates at an angle, vehicles driving fast, etc. Plate Recognizer has two versions of its Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) software: (a) API Cloud, where you send images over the Internet to Plate Recognizer's cloud to decode; and (b) On Premise SDK, where you install the SDK on a variety of hardware systems without the need for an Internet connection to operate. The license plate recognition software supports over 90 countries across 6 continents. The company has even made special enhancements to make ALPR for Brazil and ANPR for India. Recently, they have launched software to help blur license plates for FOIA and other purposes.
