Pokémon (2019 anime)
Pokémon (ポケモン Pokemon), abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters (ポケットモンスター Poketto Monsutā) is an upcoming anime series set to premiere on TV Tokyo on November 17, 2019. It was announced on the official Japanese YouTube channel for the Pokémon franchise, and is the successor to the 1997 anime of the same name, and the continuation of Pokémon: Sun & Moon.[1]
A soft reboot, the series features Ash Ketchum as the main protagonist, but also features a secondary protagonist named Gou; whose partner is a Scorbunny, and focuses on both characters traveling across all regions spanning the Pokémon universe. As with its predecessor, Ash continues his quest to become a Pokémon master. Meanwhile, Gou's mission is to complete his Pokédex and fulfill his childhood dream of capturing the legendary Pokémon, Mew.
