Praful Nargund is a British entrepreneur and politician serving as a local councillor in the London Borough of Islington for Barnsbury. He is the Labour candidate for the seat of Islington North in the 2024 United Kingdom general election.
Career
Nargund holds a degree from the University of Oxford.[2] He is a director at Create Impact Ventures, an early-stage investment firm. Previously, he held the position of CEO at ABC IVF.[2], representing the Barnsbury ward.[3] In 2024, he was shortlisted,[4] and then formally selected by the Labour Party as the party candidate for the Islington North constituency, replacing Jeremy Corbyn as the party candidate.[5][6][7] He is the son of professor Geeta Nargund.
