Pranavi Acharya is a playback singer, anchor and dubbing artist in the Telugu film industry, also known as Tollywood.

Pranavi's professional career began in the year 2006 with the movie Sriramadasu song "Shuddha Brahma". She works as a singer, serial title song singer for various TV serials. Before that, as a child, she participated in Doordarshan Singing competition programmes. She has sung about 200 songs in 70 different films. She won the Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards for the serial Turpu velle railu and Bharatamuni Award for the film Happydays and Navayuvagalam for the film Yamadonga.

Early life

Pranavi was born on August 16, 1991 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh into a Telugu Brahmin family. Her father's name is T.K Vijay Kumar. She got married to the Dance Master Raghu.

Career

She began her singing career as a playback singer in films at the age of 17. Sri Sasi Preetham, a music director, first gave her a chance to sing in her debut film Gulabi and her debut song is "Ee Vela Lo Neevu" written by Sirivennela Sitaramasastri.

She has worked under the supervision of music directors like M.M. Keeravani, Kalyani Malik, Chakri, S.V. Krishna Reddy, Koti, Raj, Vandematharam Srinivas, Mani Sharma, Micky-J-Mayer, Devisri Prasad, R.P. Patnaik, Chakri, Nihal, Anup, S.S. Thaman etc. She has rendered nearly 250 songs in many South Indian films. She has sung in Telugu and Tamil.
