Thabo Clement Mokoena, professionally known as Pree Ngwenya, (born in Katlehong, Zonkizizwe, Gauteng) is a South African musician and songwriter. He is recognized for his distinctive sound, which seamlessly blends soulful vocals with the energetic rhythms of Amapiano and Kwaito music.

Education

He attended Zonkizizwe primary school and Zonkizizwe secondary school in Gauteng. He completed his matric at Keledi Secondary school in Rustenburg.[1]

Early Life and Career

Ngwenya was born and raised in Katlehong, where he was exposed to various musical influences such as Kwaito, RnB, and Amapiano, he developed a passion for music. He began his music career in 2024, releasing his debut single "Umndeni" to critical acclaim.[2] In 2025, Pree Ngwenya announced a collaboration with Unique Deep Shumellow on his upcoming single, "Mshayeli", featured by a prominent artist and produced by Spartarelistt from the United Kingdom. The song is currently in its final production stages and is scheduled for release later this year.

Pree Ngwenya's music style is a fusion of amapiano and kwaito, blending traditional South African sounds with modern production techniques. His songs often feature catchy melodies and infectious rhythms.
