Prem Aggarwal is an Indian Cardiologist[1] and the owner and Managing Director of Sanjeevan Hospital,[2][3] New Delhi

Dr. Prem Aggarwal pursued the degree of MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, in 1979 thereafter completing his MD Medicine from the same college in 1982. He thereafter did his DNB (Cardiology) from the National Board Of Examination in 2011.[4]
Career[edit]
Dr Prem Aggarwal started Sanjeevan Hospital in 1982, a hospital that started with 10 bed facility in Daryganj, but now houses 100+ beds[5] across various specialisations such as Cardiology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology and Obst, Orthopedic, Eye, ENT, Endoscopic/Laparoscopic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Urology, nephrology, Dental and Diagnostics.
He has been actively involved in Medical Activism,[6] holding various posts at prominent medical associations. He served as the Secretary General of the Indian Medical Association from 1996-2000.[7]
During his tenure at IMA, he raised several issues and causes of the Indian medical fraternity including violence agianst doctors, abolishment of Quackery, population control,[8] protection of doctors from unnecessary litigations, counterfeit medicines etc .
During the same tenure, he courted a controversy after claiming that The Coca Cola Company India had offered Indian Medical Association Rs 1.5 crore to certify Kinley. However, he retracted the statement after legal notice from Coca-Cola Company.[9]
He also served as the president of MAMCOS, the association of the alumni of Maulana Azad Medical College in 2013-2014.[10]
In 2020, he was elected as a member of the Delhi Medical Council,[11] the regulatory body of doctors in the city of Delhi, and is serving as the President of the National Medical Forum.[12]
