Priyam Sengupta, is a social worker, motivational speaker and journalist from West Bengal.[1]
Career & Education[edit]
Sengupta completed his schooling from Madhyamgram High School in North 24 parganas. He studied Zoology and passed from Acharya Prafulla Chandra College under West Bengal State University. Priyam worked as a journalist in Aajkaal daily newspaper since 2018. He also became the sub-editor of Sakalbela magazine. Sengupta thereafter established himself as a digital creator in West Bengal. He has been very vocal against Hindutva politics.[citation needed]
Professional career[edit]
On 5 October 2016, Priyam Sengupta set up Bloodmates, a non-profit voluntary blood donors' organization.[2][3] Bengali singer Rupam Islam was also one of the founders of Bloodmates.[4][5][6] Sengupta has organised thousands of blood donation camps.[7][8]
Books[edit]
Priyam is also a writer. His first Bengali story book, Bookpocket - First Innings[9] was published in 2017 from Kolkata.[10][11][12]
