History
PumPumPum was founded by Tarun Lawadia[2] and Sameer Kalra,[3] formally a consultant for CarDekho and Revv.[4] The company was named after the song Mannu Bhai Motor Chali Pum Pum from the 1978 Hindi movie Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan sung by Kishor Kumar. It is operated by Dream Road Technologies.[5] The company is headquartered in Gurugram with offices in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru.[4] It has operations in 55 Indian cities, including Leh, Jammu, Madurai, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Guwahati, Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai, Hospet, Bhagalpur, Lucknow, and Kanpur.[6]
In 2022, PumPumPum appointed Nikhil Sharma as the associate vice president of growth and marketing[7] and roped in Sanjeev Prasad as an advisor.[8]
The company procures its inventory from its channel partners like dealer network, Spinny, Cars24, CarDekho, Droom, individuals, and from leasing companies like Leaseplan, AVIS Lease, etc.[9]
