Qualitest is a quality engineering and software testing company based in London, United Kingdom.[1][2] The company has operations in Israel, India, Romania, the United Kingdom, and the United States.[3][4]

History[edit]

Qualitest was founded in 1997 by Ayal Zylberman and Eli Margolin.[5][6] Three years later, in 2000, Qualitest, then a small-scale entity, saw a change in majority ownership when Advanced Logistics Developments (ALD), a Tel Aviv Stock Exchange-listed company, acquired a 51 percent stake in the company.[1][7] Qualitest remained under the control of Advanced Logistics Developments until 2004 when another listed company, Malam Systems of Shlomo Eisenberg, acquired a majority stake.[1][7][8]

In 2016, Marlin Equity Partners acquired a stake in Qualitest for $85 million.[9][10] Under Marlin's ownership, Qualitest continued its expansion by acquiring companies such as Experior Group, Test Direct, as well as a division of NCC Group and Orasi.[1] During this time, Qualitest also established operations in Romania, opening a new facility with an investment of $6 million.[1]

In 2018, Qualitest expanded its operations in the United Kingdom by acquiring the software testing division of Manchester-based NCC Group.[11] In the same year, it also acquired the US-based company, Pytheus, and the software testing division of Orasi.[12][12]

In July 2019, Bridgepoint acquired a majority stake in Qualitest from Marlin Equity Partners.[13] Later, in December 2019, it acquired AlgoTrace, a company specializing in machine learning.[14][3]

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Qualitest developed an index in Israel. This index, based on validated data, was created to measure the nations' relative capabilities in handling the medical crisis.[6]

In April 2021, Qualitest made two acquisitions. First, it acquired Comply, an Israel-based software testing company active in the pharma and health sectors.[3] Later, it also acquired Olenick & Associates, a software testing company based in Chicago.[4]

Qualitest expanded its operations in India in August 2022 with the acquisition of ZenQ, a software testing company based in Hyderabad, India.[15][16] In September 2022, Qualitest opened a delivery center in Chennai, India.[17]

In April 2023, Qualitest acquired Q Analysts, a testing firm based in California.[18]

In June 2023, Qualitest expanded to Switzerland by establishing operations in Zug.[19]

Services[edit]

Qualitest provides quality engineering, digital engineering, and quality assurance services to businesses.[1][14]
