RIAS is a general insurance provider offering car, home, travel and caravan insurance.

History

RIAS is a trading name of Ageas Retail Limited, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and their firm reference number is 312468.[1][2] It was established in 1992 by David Holden[3] originally offering insurance products from a panel of insurers. RIAS was part of Fortis Group, until Fortis adopted an Ageas UK name, reflecting the company’s status as a standalone global insurance group.[4]

Operations

The Managing Director of RIAS is Adam Clarke and their offices and call centre are based in Bournemouth.[5]

Awards

RIAS Home and car insurance[6] products have been awarded a Defaqto 5 Star Rating for the comprehensive level of cover.[7][8] RIAS Home Insurance has also been awarded 5 stars by independent researcher Moneyfacts.[9]
