She was insisted to choose another career. “It was the moment where I had to decide whether to listen to them or to my inner self and follow my passion! I followed the voice of my heart. I couldn't stand on my real limping leg then but I decided to stand on my own mental strength. Same people applaud for the work I do now” said Neena in an interview given to Arogyam Magazine while talking about mental health and positivity. Rj Neena is one among the First Radio Jockeys[3] in Kerala FM radio history. As a little girl, she would always find humour in even the most serious situations. She looked at life in a lighter vein and invariably spoke her thoughts. She made people around her laugh. But was always tagged as 'outspoken, rude, irresponsible' etc. Years later the same person is now a successful radio jockey, keeping up high ratings all these years in all surveys. She joined as Radio Jockey at Club Fm, Kochi. After two years She joined Radio Mango 91.9 Kochi which belongs to Malayala Manorama. Currently working at Radio Mango for nearly a decade. Rj Neena stands for equality and freedom of speech which has a strong basement of mutual respect. On a daily basis, she brings up social issues and caters it in a lighter sarcastic way to society. “I don't think about what people think about me. If my thoughts change someone else's way of thinking, that is my success” said Neena to Vanitha, one among the top-rated magazines in Kerala, when she was chosen as one among ten different women in Kerala by them.

Life[edit]

The television show 'Nayika Nayakan' in Mazhavil Manorama featured her as a guest which exposed her story of the struggle to the society. Rj Neena met with another terrible car accident[4] when she was following the steady flow of her life. Her personal and professional life took a sudden break. She lost a major portion of her face by hitting her head on the windshield of the car in the accident. Her eyelid had to be grafted from her thigh. Lip was split into three and one-pieces were taken off. Her face was no more the same. She fought the situation with great courage and came back to life. Tattoo on her right hand became much popular after the telecast which says 'I am the soul born twice in a body' she explains what it means in the television show “when I stretch my hand to point my finger at someone out of anger.. this tattoo should remind me of my second chance to live! This tattoo should ask a question to my soul whether I should use this second chance to stretch my hand to point my figures at others or to shake hands with others with a smile. Its a reminder” she says. The accident left her in misery for many years. Her backbone which was seriously injured was fixed through acupuncture therapy, which fascinated her to heal people with the holistic treatment. Where she says “it's not 'men' or 'women' but evil humans are to be revealed than attacking a particular category by generalizing them.”

When secular India was celebrating its 70th independence day, Rj Neena presents a small report about communal riots took place in the year 2016 and death rates caused by the riots in her video. All their answers were “mom and dad” towards the end of the video Neena pleads to the viewer not to pollute innocent minds injecting communal discrimination.

Another popular video of Rj Neena which has over 2.3 Million views addresses the misuse of social media. The video was based on a real-life event where one of her friends had to runway from the society because of a nude video of hers which was spread by her lover.
