RTL AdConnect is the international sales house of RTL Group created in 1991.
Background
In 2017, the sales house rebranded itself and became RTL AdConnect.[1] It was previously known as IP Network[2].
In 2021, the company teamed up with smartclip, an AdTech and media sales company from RTL Group, to become their official partner for media sales.[3]
At the beginning of 2022, the international sales house announced a new partnership[4] with NBCUniversal. This bilateral partnership has given the two brands access to each other's TV and digital inventory assets.
In February 2022, it was announced that RTL Group would merge its fully-owned advertising businesses, RTL AdConnect, G+J iMS and the media division of smartclip to create a new international advertising sales company.[5]
Television
RTL AdConnect represents the TV inventory of more than 100 TV channels, including various European media partners such as RTL in Germany, M6 in France, the RTL channels in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium and Hungary, ITV in the UK, RAI in Italy, Antena 3 in Spain. The company is also present in Asia via its partnership with TBS television[6] and in the United States via NBCUniversal[7]. In Switzerland, RTL AdConnect is partnering with the sales house Goldbach Media to access its media portfolio[8]
Radio
For the radio market, the sales house is also present in different European countries through its media partners. It commercializes the inventory of RTL group's radio stations[9] in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. In Italy, they represent the stations of the broadcasting company, RAI, and in Spain, the stations of the media group, Atresmedia. In total, more than 40 radio stations are represented by RTL AdConnect.
Digital
The Luxembourg-based sales house has a global digital offering, with more than 300 digital platforms[10] in its portfolio, thanks to its partnerships with international media groups such as Fremantle, BMG, BroadbandTV and smartclip[11]
