We Are Era is an international media company headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The company runs Europe's largest influencer network with around 1,500 content creators.^[1] We Are Era's services are focused on the conception, production and marketing of online video content, including branded content and native advertising as well as digital rights management and influencer marketing.^[2] As of 2018 RTL Group is the sole shareholder of the company.^[3]^[4]

Along with its headquarters in Berlin, We Are Era operates offices in Amsterdam, Cologne, Milan, Paris and Stockholm.

History[edit]

The company was founded under the name Divimove in 2012.^[5] After a change of management in 2018, Divimove acquired the digital studio UFA X from UFA.^[6] In 2019 Divimove merged with United Screens, an online video and influencer marketing company in the Scandinavian market.^[7]^[8] In 2020 Divimove acquired the influencer marketing agency TubeOne Networks from Ströer Group.^[9]^[10] In 2021 the company rebranded to We Are Era.^[11]^[12]

The company employs a total of 250 people at six locations in Europe as of 2023.^[13]

Productions[edit]

We Are Era develops and produces influencer marketing campaigns as well as serial branded content and original formats for brands, broadcasters and platforms. Clients have included IKEA,^[14] Aldi,^[15] Deutsche Telekom,^[16] Microsoft^[17] and KNVB.^[18]

The VideoDays Festival is a regular event for the German creator scene. Originally known as VideoDay and VideoDays, it was the largest YouTube festival in Europe from 2010 to 2017..^[19] Since 2017, the festival has been hosted by We Are Era and has been held annually in Cologne with a different concept since 2022.^[20]^[21]^[22]

We Are Era regularly publishes reports on brand popularity and the sociographics of social media users.^[23]^[24]^[25]

Artists[edit]

We Are Era's influencer network includes 1,500 content creators from the entertainment, comedy, music, gaming, tech, information, beauty and lifestyle sectors.^[26] The best-known partners include Dutch video blogger Enzo Knol, Italian duo Me contro Te, Swedish singer Tone Sekelius and beauty influencer NikkieTutorials.^[27]^[28]
