August 17, 1998 in Dusseldorf) is the 54th Imam of the Naqshbandi Qadiri Sunni Muslims and the religious leader of several million people living mainly in Kashmir and Punjab. He is a member of the former Afghan royal family and leads Afghanistan's monarchist opposition. The title Hazrat Ishaan is a hereditary title that goes back to his ancestor Khwaja Khawand Mahmud.

Curriculum vitae[edit]

Prince Raphael's father is Sultan Masood Dakik, a member of the Afghan royal family who fled to Pakistan on foot for 7 days in the 1980s and was evacuated to Germany. His mother is Sultan Dakik's cousin Sayyida Nargis Dakik. Both are descended from the Prophet Muhammad in the line of the Sufi saint Khwaja Khawand Mahmud. As a German citizen, Prince Dakik attended school there, where he passed his "Abitur". Subsequently, he studied economics and law, as well as physics. He continued his education in international law at the London School of Economics.

During a visit to Pakistan, Prince Dakik was given the responsibility of leading the Naqshbandi Qadiri Imamate. His visit is considered a historic moment for his followers in Lahore and Kashmir. Due to the expansive influence of communism in Central and South Asia during the Cold War, the leadership of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order by the descendants of Bahauddin Naqshband, of which Dakik is one, is considerably decentralized.

In the eyes of his followers, he is considered a direct descendant of Fatima, the youngest daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, and his successor, and therefore the current Imam of the Qadiri-Naqshbandites and their spiritual leader.

He founded several organizations that specialized in the field of Technocracy. His technocratic efforts are manifested in government consultations, as well as economic diplomacy activities for the rapprochement of certain countries with whose elite he maintains good relations.

Prince Raphael Dakik has been actively involved in the restoration of the monarchy in Afghanistan since the fall of Kabul at the hands of the Taliban. As a member of the Barakzai dynasty, he emphasizes Afghanistan's historical reputation as the "Switzerland of Asia" on the occasion of its neutrality in both world wars as well as the Cold War. He would be eligible as Shah ("king") himself on various grounds of legitimacy.

Furthermore, the Prince has a consultative senate that includes several European statesmen, as well as members of the U.S. Congress and members of Middle Eastern royal families.
