The Royal Afghan Government in Exile (RAGE) is an Afghan government in exile. It purports to seek to institute a constitutional monarchy in Afghanistan that ensures human rights, constitutionalism, technocracy and progressivism.
Introduction[edit]
The Royal Afghan Government in Exile (RAGE) is a Government in Exile based in Pakistan and India, led by the Afghan Prince His Serene Highness Prince Sayyid Raphael Dakik, who is the head of the Azizi Cadet Branch of the Barakzai dynasty. He is a patrilineal descendant of the first Afghan king H.M. Sultan Mohammed Khan through H.R.H. Major General Abdul Aziz Khan Telai. His cadet branch is known for being contributive in the establishment of Pakistan. His Serene Highness seeks to restore the Afghan monarchy again, however with himself as Shah. His Serene Highness notes that the sovereign of the Barakzai throne inherits the title of "Amir al Muminin". However the religious legitimacy of bearing this title by the de jure Crown Prince Ahmad Shah Khan used to be disputed especially by the Tajik population of Afghanistan as the Barakzai Dynasty was regarded as a regime with strong tendencies to Pashtun superiority. Having a Tajik mother, descending from Prophet Muhammad through Hazrat Ishaan however and being declared as the 54th Imam of the Qadiriyya Naqshbandiyya Sufi Order which is the traditional Sufi belief of the Afghan people, Prince Raphael would be recognized as the legitimate theocratic monarch by all ethnicities of Afghanistan. As hereditary Imam of the Qadiri Imamate of the Ahlulbayt (Prophet´s household), he is regarded by his followers as the legitimate successor of his ancestors Prophet Muhammad, Sayyid Ali Akbar al Askari and Sayyid Abdul Qadir Gilani. Prince Raphael rejects bloodshed and thus highlights that the best method for establishing the monarchy is not through military solutions like the NRF but through diplomatic methods. His regnal title is "Rafi ul Shaan bi Izzatullah" which means "The one who is raised in dignity by God´s Glory".[1][2]
Occultation[edit]
Following the teachings of his ancestor Sayyid Mir Jan, the Prince rejects any interviews and public media presences, preferring to operate in occultation. He merely has two official websites one for his private office and another one for his Imamate.[3][4]
