Rahaile Foday known with her stage name ElizabethX is an American musician and actress with a West African background, her father is a Ghanaian and her mother is from Liberia.[1][2][3] She gained popularity when she acted in the movie Better Off Single which was nominated for the 2016 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.[4]

Early life and education[edit]

ElizabethX was born and raised in Philadelphia to a single mother of Liberian descent and a Ghanaian father.

Career[edit]

ElizabethX started her career as a model and made her first cameo appearance in Rae Sremmund - Up Like Trump music video which led the duo to their first BET Awards and BET Hiphop Awards in 2015.[5][6][7]

According to an interview with Ayo Onikoyi of Vanguard, ElizabethX confirmed that her decision to pursue music was because she was left lonely all day at home by her busy mother at her tender age and saw music as a comforter.[8] As a lover of Afrobeats, ElizabethX picks inspiration from Naira Marley, Tiwa Savage, Kiss Daniel and Sarkodie.[9]

ElizabethX recently announced her debut EP titled 'Xsistence' and has released a single 'Cold' out of the yet-to-be-released album.[10][11]
