Rahul Srivastava (born 1977) is a Mumbai based ad filmmaker, film editor and writer.

Early Life

He was born in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. He went to Government Inter College, Allahabad. He pursued Bachelors in Commerce from Allahabad University before joining film editing specialization at Film & Television Institute of India, Pune in year 2000.

Family

His cousin Ritu Karidhal is a famous Indian Space scientist and his spouse Ruchi Srivastava works as a Costume Stylist in Mumbai.

Career

He moved to Mumbai in 2004 and started working as assistant editor in films. He worked as an associate director to Saeed Akhtar Mirza in his last feature film Ek Tho Chance. He edited feature films like, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster , Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns, Bullett Raja etc. He has directed several ad films for various brands. He has also written and directed a short film called ITWAAR .

He was nominated as the best editor by The Producers Guild’s Apsara Awards for Best Editing of the feature film Saheb Biwi aur Gangster

He had also edited the famous TV series Specials@10 Har Kadam Par Shaque
