Rajni Katiyar[1] is an Indian Actress who has featured in numerous Hindi TV serials, Bollywood and regional Films[2][3][4][5]. She appeared In the TV serial Saath Nibhaana Sathiya in 2014, and performed the role of a saviour of the protagonist Gopi and her family. In 2015, Rajni thought of becoming an entrepreneur and established a production house[6] as the company director[7] along with Shashank Kumar. However she continues to pursue acting as a career. Her production house produced two video albums "Dil Ye Masoom Hai"[8] (in which she featured) and "Sarhad Bula Rahi Hai" immediately after it's establishment. She then did her first feature film in a lead role, Most Common Budbak [9]which released in 2020.

Early Life and Qualifications[edit]

She belongs to Lucknow, where studied while living with her parents, who are originally from Kannauj. She is an alumni of APS, Lucknow and Lucknow University from where she completed her Post Graduation in Ancient Indian History. She is also a graduate in Bharatanatyam from Bhatkhande. After completion of her academic qualifications she moved to Delhi and pursued acting and modelling. During this time she joined a Post Graduate Diploma course in Media management. After graduating from Asian Academy of Film and Television (Noida), she moved to Mumbai to work in the entertainment Industry in the year 2013.

Acting Career[edit]

Early Works[edit]

Rajni worked for many Hindi TV serials like Saath Nibhaana Sathiya, Police files, Savdhaan India, Pavitra Rishta and Rasoi ki Rani which were aired on various TV Channels and also worked in number of Hindi and Regional films. She did a cameo in the Hindi movie Samrat & Co. by Rajshree Productions.

Breakthrough[edit]

Rajni had her breakthrough with Most Common Budbak[10][11][12][13][14][15] released in 2020 by UFO moviez.

As Entrepreneur[edit]

Rajni Co-Partnered with the Bollywood Director Shashank Kumar[16], and established her own production house with the name Mermaid Studio LLP[17][18] in 2015 and produced video albums, documentaries and corporate films[19][20]. Their first Hindi feature film, Most Common Budbak was produced under the banner of Mermaid Studio[21][22] and presented by UFO Moviez in year 2020[23]. In December 2021, her company completed the shooting of the Film "Acting Ka Bhoot" in Lucknow where she is acting with co-star Aham Sharma, and presently under post production.[24][24][25][26][27]

Awards & Honours[edit]

She was honoured with title award of "Awadh Ki Shaan Betiyan"[28][29][30] by the Mayor of Lucknow Mrs. Sanyukta Bhatia in 2021.
