Raju Jangid (born 8 May 1998) is an Indian Wikipedia editor, Photographer, Artist, and Sports and Tech Writer. Jangid hails from Thadiya village in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, who started editing on Wikipedia in 2015 using an old mobile phone. He is one of the most active Wikipedia editors.[1]
Early life
Raju Jangid was born on 8 May 1998 in Thadiya village of Jodhpur. He completed his schooling from Govt. Sen. Sec. School Lorta and then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Jain Vishwa Bharati University Ladnun, Nagaur. Jangid, before becoming a Wikipedia editor, worked in the furniture industry as a carpenter.[2]
Career
Jangid started his career with Wikipedia in 2015. He has also worked with organizations such as Sportzwiki and Josh Talks. Before that, he worked as a carpenter.
Achievements
Raju Jangid is the only editor to have more than 7,000 edits on Wikipedia made using an old keypad mobile phone. In addition, he started WikiProject Cricket and has created more than 600 pages.[3]
