Raju Prasad Kandel
Raju Prasad Kandel is a Nepali businessman. He is the Charmain of the Padma Group of Companies[1]. This holding company includes businesses from six sectors of which it is mostly known for its three satelite television channels. The three TV channels that Kandel founded are Mountain Television, Businss Plus Television and Bhakti Darshan Television. On September 23, 2020, he was selected as the Vice Chairmen of Media Alliance Nepal (MAN) along with Mahendra Sherchan of Rajdhani Daily newspaper [2] [3]. MAN was formed by leading news media companies in Nepal to address challenges in Nepali media industry. Prior to this, he has also co served as Vice Chairman of Nepal Media Society, along with Avenues Television's Chairman, Bhaskar Rajkarnikar[4].
