Ram Dass Singh Khalsa, born 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri, is an American music producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.[1]

Early life and education[edit]

Ram Dass's parents are both classical musicians. After moving to Northern California at an early age, he was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended Berkeley High School.[2][3] He performed in the Young People's Symphony Orchestra throughout high school and appeared with them at Carnegie Hall in 2003.[4][5]

Personal life[edit]

Ram Dass had a son named Siddhartha Izarra who was born with Trisomy-18 and passed away three days after birth. Ram Dass's EP 'And Now He Has Wings' was made to process his son's death.[6][7][8]

Touring[edit]

Ram Dass has appeared as a support musician for several New Age and Mantra artists[9] and is currently in Grammy-Nominee Snatam Kaur's touring band with Grecco Buratto (guitar) and Sukhmani Rayat (tabla).[10]
