Rashid Alleem Premier League (RPL T20)
Rashid Alleem Premier League or RPL is a twenty20 corporate cricket tournament held in Sharjah, UAE since 2016 registered under Sharjah Cricket Council. The tournament is played in various grounds like Skyline Cricket Ground, Al Dhaid Cricket Village, Ajman Ovals and most notably, Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.[1] Matches from quarter final onwards are usually played at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium. In 2020 Season 5, 72 corporate cricket teams participated in the tournament making it GCC's biggest corporate cricket tournament[1]
The tournament was started by H.E Dr. Rashid Alleem as an initiative towards Good Health and Well Being, one of his sustainable development goals[2] Cricket was chosen as it is considered to be popular among the expatriate Asian population in UAE which is in majority[3]
Playing Format[edit]
The tournament is played as a Twenty20 style League format. The tournament is played on grass grounds with a turf pitch and cork ball. All matches are live streamed on YouTube and scored online using Cricheroes (2019-current) [4]and cricHQ[5] (2017-2018).
Matches have professional umpires and commentators as well.

Brand Ambassador[edit]
Emirati Cricket Team's Ex-Captain Khurram Khan was RPL's Brand Ambassador from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, Emarati Cricket Team's opening batsman Chirag Suri, became RPL's Brand Ambassador
Many other notable cricketers such as Jonty Rhodes, Darren Smith, Rashid Khan, Faheem Ashraf etc have sent across best wishes towards RPL players.
