Career

Theriault joined General Motors in 1996 and has held various leadership positions in manufacturing, quality and manufacturing engineering across multiple GM facilities around the world. In April 2023, he was appointed as the Director of the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, succeeding Kai Spande.[2] His role places him at the helm of Corvette production, including high-performance models such as the Corvette Z06, the hybrid Corvette E-Ray, the twin-turbocharged Corvette ZR1,[3] and the upcoming ZR1X, a hybrid hypercar targeting over 1,250 hp.[4]

Theriault has been featured in several media outlets for his contributions to automotive manufacturing and plant operations. In a 2023 Fox 2 Detroit segment, he discussed his career trajectory and vision for the Corvette brand.[1] WBKO News profiled him as part of coverage on plant tours and modernization efforts.[5] He has also been featured in America’s Sports Car magazine,[6] the official publication of the National Corvette Museum, and appeared on the Corvette Today podcast.[7]

Legacy and Impact

Under Theriault’s leadership, the Bowling Green Assembly Plant has maintained and expanded its role as a center of automotive innovation. He has overseen the production of milestone vehicles such as the track-focused Corvette Z06,[3] the electrified Corvette E-Ray, and the twin-turbocharged Corvette ZR1,[3] which delivers 1,064 horsepower. Theriault has also led preparations for the ZR1X, a forthcoming hybrid hypercar anticipated to exceed 1,250 horsepower and incorporate advanced all-wheel-drive and regenerative technologies.[4] These programs have elevated Corvette's global visibility and reinforced the plant’s reputation as a benchmark for next-generation performance engineering.

Beyond vehicle manufacturing, Theriault's tenure has been marked by enhanced public engagement through plant tours,[5] increased media visibility,[1] and recognition within both enthusiast circles and mainstream automotive media.[6][7]
