Career and the Murdera Case
Raye Penber was born on December 31st, 1978. During 2006, Raye is dating Naomi Misora. Raye is first introduced in episode 3, Dealings. Raye was sent to investigate Soichiro Yagami's family, which includes Light Yagami. During episode 4, Pursuit, when 20 of Light's friends died, Light was feeling depressed and getting ready to jump off a bridge. Raye stopped Light, telling him that it wasn't worth it, and how he shouldn't commit suicide when he was so successful. Light went and called Raye a stalker, saying that he noticed Raye wherever he went, which made Raye show Light his identification to prove that he was an FBI agent. Then, during the next episode, Tactics, Light held Raye at gunpoint and forced Raye to write the names of Raye's fellow FBI agents. However, after writing down all of the names, on December 27, 2006, Raye was shot to death. Light disposed of Raye's body by throwing it off the bridge. It wasn't until then when Light realized that Raye hadn't spelled the other names correctly, other than one name, Mark Dwellton.
