Reap Technologies Limited (commonly known as Reap) is a financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong that provides payment solutions and business-to-business financial services. It provides corporate cards, cross-border payments, and expense management tools for small and medium-sized enterprises.[2] The company connects traditional financial systems with stablecoin and Web3 payment networks.[3]
History
Reap was founded in 2018 by Kevin Kang and Daren Guo in Hong Kong to provide solutions for expense management.[4] The company’s product allowed SMEs to use credit cards to pay expenses even when merchants did not accept cards directly. In 2020, Reap expanded to multiple Asian markets and introduced digital expense management software.[5]
Funding
In October 2022, Reap raised US$40 million in a Series A funding round led by Acorn Pacific Ventures, Arcadia Funds, and Payment Asia, with participation from Endeavour Catalyst and other investors.[6] The company announced that the funds would be used to expand across Asia-Pacific and to build stablecoin-based infrastructure linking traditional finance and digital assets.[7]
Partnership
In 2023, Reap partnered with Thredd (formerly GPS) to scale global card programs and enhance its cross-border payment capabilities.[8][9] In 2024, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Nigerian payments firm Fincra to develop card issuing and cross-border payments infrastructure across Africa.[10][11] In 2025, Reap received in-principle approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore for a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license.[12]
Products and services
It products include physical and virtual corporate cards, expense management and accounts payable software, and multi-currency cross-border payment processing.[13] It also provides infrastructure for stablecoin and Web3 payments[14] through its API-based platform, allowing companies to move funds between digital wallets and traditional bank accounts.[15]
Awards and recognition
Reap won the “Outstanding Online Credit Card Payment Platform” award at ET Net’s FinTech Awards in 2018.[16]
