Redstoke are a fictional football team that appeared in the British comic Roy of the Rovers, and also various strips like The Marks Brothers, Lanky Hutton, The Guinea Pig goalie in Adventure in the 1950s and in Goalmaker, the story of the magical gypsy Pickford.
History
1950s
They played in Third Division South in 52/53 and won promotion alongside Westhampton City.[1]
1960s
In 1962 Redstoke beat Rangers to win the FA Cup.
1980s
In a Marks Brothers story from the 1982 ROTR Annual. Kingsbay's Steve Marks travels with the England squad to play Bulgaria and he partnered Redstoke's Kenny Johnson up front, with Melchester's Jimmy Slade as playmaker.[2]
