Reggie Jay Dovener born 12 January 2010, better known as Reepolar, is a Welsh YouTuber known for his news-style videos and comedically formatted videos and shows. Dovener's popularity on TikTok has extended his horizons across social media. He has been portrayed on social media as a figurehead for human rights and the UNCRC.

Born and raised in Caerphilly, Dovener registered his YouTube channel "Reepolar" in 2022, primarily posting news videos for originally his local community. His channel hasn't gained a substantial following so far compared to his TikTok.

Dovener's content was already noted for its partially controversial content on TikTok.

Early life and Education

Reggie Jay Dovener was born on 12 January 2010 in Cardiff, although he was raised in Caerphilly. He was born to Gemma Louise Hughes (born 1983–2019) and Wayne Anthony Dovener (born 1980), and is growing up with his younger sister, Ria-May. His mother was a former Peter's Food Services (Peter's Pies) worker. His father is a registered disabled person under the British government's Department for Work & Pensions disability scheme. Dovener went to primary school at Graig y Rhacca Primary Nursery and Community School[1] and now goes to secondary school at Bedwas High School[2]

Dovener is interested in technology and current news and has detailed that he would take apart his parents' old technology.

Dovener has also discussed an enjoyment of the medical industry, especially biomedical engineering.

Awards

He was awarded many certificates from the Caerphilly Youth Service for achieving their '4 curriculum purposes'. He was awarded an Entry Level Award in the Arts for doing the Arts Award 'Explore' qualification. He has completed a 'Life Saving Skills' workshop and an 'A - Z' British Sign Language workshop both delivered by New Directions. He completed a PGL residential via CYS. He completed the 'Gwent Police Mini Policing program'. Dovener also got an award from Gwent Police for his contributions to the 'SIREN' board game. He was published in multiple 'Young Writers' books including;

  • Young Writers - Twisted Tales for writing the 'Blue Bird Fight'
  • Empowered 2022 - The Power of Verse for writing '2020'
  • YW Annual Showcase

Dovener has recently made a podcast called Reepolar on Current Events[3]. You can listen on multiple platforms.
