History[edit]
After the creation of the Reserve Bank of India, a need was felt for an institution which will provide adequate training to all the new employees of the Reserve Bank of India. As a result, Reserve Bank of India Staff College was set up in 1963 in Chennai, India to fulfill that need. Currently, Reserve Bank of India Staff College is one of two apex training institutions of the Reserve Bank of India, the other being College of Agricultural Banking, Pune.
Functions[edit]
All the recruits who are selected through the RBI Grade B examination are trained at the Reserve Bank of India Staff College. The eminent faculty of the institute includes several former governors of the Reserve Bank of India.[2][3]
