Rhymes of Praise is the debut studio album by English Nasheed vocal group Labbayk, released on 20 August 2008 by Safar Media.

Composition and release[edit]

Labbayk 's debut album Rhymes of Praise was released by Safar Media on 20 August 2008.[1][2][3][4][5][6] The album contains eight nasheeds, consisting of Hamds (praising Allah) and na`ats (praising Islamic prophet Muhammad). It also features Qur'an recitation by Shaykh Shah Mizanul Hoque.[7][8][9]

The lyrics and content were verified in order to maintain the limits and boundaries of Shari’ah (Islamic Law) by Ulama (Muslim scholars); Shaykh Hussain Ahmed, Mufti ‘Umair Zulfiqar, Shaykh Muhammad Sibbini and Shaykh Sulayman Ghani.[7][8][9]
