Riley's Trick Shop

Riley's Trick Shop was opened by Jim and Eleanor Riley in March 1937. They originally opened their shop in Worth, Illinois but moved to a smaller store in Palos Hills, Illinois.This took place when Jim and Judy Riley took over the store. Riley’s is known for selling gag gifts, magic tricks, and costumes to many people in the Chicago area. They were open for a total of 77 years, employing five generations of Riley family members. They also opened a store in Frankfort, Illinois for a few years but closed within a short amount of time. All stores were closed in 2014.[1]

The business is documented in 2nd-generation owner Jim Riley's book, "Oh Really, Riley?: The Story of Riley's Trick Shop and the Family behind It."
