Rob Bruce is an American film director and director of photography, known for his work in action sports, including Emmy Nominated documentary McConkey.

2012 - Transformers 3 - Taurus World Stunt Award (Won) & SAG Award for Stunt Ensemble (Won)[edit]

Rob Bruce served as director of photography for the wingsuit scene,[1] which won the Taurus World Stunt Award for Best Specialty Stunt.[2] The wingsuit scene also won a Screen Actor's Guild award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.[3]

2015 - McConkey - Emmy (Nominated)[edit]

McConkey, a film about deceased extreme skier Shane McConkey, was nominated for Outstanding Sports Documentary at the 36th Annual Sports Emmy Awards.[4]

2016 - Samsung "Snail" Commercial - Clio Silver Award (Won) & DGA Commercial (Nominated)[edit]

The commercial featured surfing scenes, which Rob Bruce served as director of photography. The commercial won the Clio Silver Award.[5] The commercial was also nominated for a DGA Award for Best Commercial.[6]

2018 - Distance Between Dreams - Surfer Awards Best Documentary (Won)[edit]

Rob directed the surf film, following big wave surfer Ian Walsh around the world surfing in exotic locations - this won the Best Documentary award in the 48th Annual Surfer Awards.[7]
