Robert J. Faucher (born Landstuhl, Germany) has been the acting US Assistant Secretary of State for Conflict and Stabilization Operations since January 20, 2021.[1] Anne Witkowsky has been nominated to be the permanent Assistant Secretary.[2]
Biography[edit]
Faucher grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from the Arizona State University with BA and JD/MBA degrees. He continued his education receiving LLM degree in EU Law from Edinburgh University, and an MS degree in National Security Studies from the National Defense University’s National War College.[1]
Career[edit]
Starting in August 2017, he was Director for the Office of Western European Affairs in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs,[1]
