Robin Healthcare is an American medical documentation company and the developer of an audio/video capture device known as Robin Assistant.[1]

Robin Healthcare was founded in 2015 by Emilio Galan and Noah Auerrhahn in Berkeley, CA, the USA.[2][not in citation given]

Technology[edit]

The company’s device is placed in examination rooms and creates an audio and video record of the encounter. This data is being processed with the help of conversational speech recognition and a human workforce.[3][4] The Robin Healthcare system is being used at the University of California, San Francisco, and at Duke University,[1] and at the Campbell Clinic.[3]

Investments[edit]

In 2018, Robin Healthcare raised $3.5 million in seed funding to expand a system that uses a combination of artificial intelligence and humans to complete clinical notes for doctors.[5]

In 2019, Robin Healthcare raised $11.5 million during the Series A funding round from Norwest Venture Partner.[6]

In December 2021, Robin Healthcare landed $500 million in the Series B funding round by Scale Venture Partners.[7]
