Robin Kester is a Dutch musician based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.[1] Kester's musical style has been compared to Portishead and Beach House[2], and described as a mix of pop, electronic music and psychedelia, writing songs about past impressions and wandering reflections.[3] Robin Kester toured with artists such as Villagers[4] and opened for Muse.[5]

In 2020 Robin Kester released the mini-album This Is Not A Democracy.[6] Villagers frontman Conor O'Brien contributed on the song Cigarette Song.[7]. Kester played four shows at SXSW 2022.[8] A demo version of 'Day is Done' has been included on the soundtrack for the American film Press Play (film).

In 2023 Robin Kester released her debut album Honeycomb Shades[9]. Dutch daily newspaper NRC named the album as one of the 15 best albums of 2023 so far.[10]
