Fernando Rodrigo Sanchez-Chavarria (born April 25, 1978), commonly known as just Rodrigo or RSC, is a Peruvian-American poet, writer, current teacher, and a member of the Latin poet group Palabristas. He first gained prominence when he debuted in the poet artist group. Since late 2023, he has been teaching in an educational institution[citation needed] while his first 2 years of teaching were social studies, and his 3rd year are elective classes.[citation needed] A notable work from 2010 that was debuted and performed at a poetry reading is "Where Are You Really From?" that mentions his Peruvian roots.[1]

Early life and education

Sanchez was born on April 25, 1978, in Peru, to Peruvian parents. His family moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota when he was 9–10 years old in 1988.[2] He attended Roseville Area High School[citation needed], then Hamline University,[3] then the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota where he studied creative writing.[4] In the fall of 2023, Sanchez begun his education career at a dual-language middle school in the East Side of Saint Paul [citation needed] and as a spare career, he coaches a local soccer team at Como Park Senior High School.[citation needed]
