Roger Alexander is an American filmmaker, producer, and director. He is the founder of AlphaMale Visuals, an award-winning production company based out of Atlanta, GA. He serves as a director, director of photography, and an executive producer.[1]
Early life[edit]
He hails from Houston, Texas. In his early days, any time he wasn't playing sports, he was drawing, writing poetry, making music, creating skits. Known for his relentless work ethic, he maintained straight A's in high school and college (Truman State University), despite his consistent involvement in several day jobs, fraternities, sports, & music.
Career[edit]
Eventually, his passion for music & hip-hop culture meshed with his visual/filmmaking talents; spawning the formation of AlphaMale Visuals production company. The company name was inspired in part by his collegiate experience with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and a lifestyle of ambition. Roger built AlphaMale Visuals all while working a full-time corporate job on the side for 5 years. He executed a plan to quit his day job & move to Atlanta to run his company full time.[2]
Upon arriving in Atlanta, Roger quickly skyrocketed his status & company through his video work with countless celebrities; racking up several awards, accolades, TV appearances, and global publications. Roger functions as an Executive Producer, Director, and DP with AlphaMale Visuals; building it to a premier brand that's highly sought after by the top names in the hip hop industry for the creation of music videos, films, & commercials. In the filmmaking community, he has reached the likes of a celebrity himself, offering inspiration to his peers and supporters. Roger often gives back through mentorship and classes that teach the younger generation tips and tricks on how to "make it" in the film & entertainment industry.[3][4]
