Activism

Rohit started leading all the protests against fee hikes, increased electricity charges, library fund cuts, hostel shortages, and time and dress restrictions on university students.[2] He has always been critical of MGCU VC (Arvind Agrawal) for his university policies and accused him of destroying the university.[2] He joined ABVP and became Nagar Sah-Mantri (Deputy-Secretary), Motihari[2]

Due to heavy protests by students, the university held a meeting on 21 & 22 July 2018. MGCU VC chaired the meeting and Rohit represented the university students, including the representatives of various departments, in the meeting.[3] Rohit became noted for his role in Mahatma Gandhi Central University protests while addressing a joint press conference held by the MGCU administration.[4]

Rohit led the protest demanding the removal of MGCU VC (Arvind Agarwal) and received support from several political parties and students' organizations of India. The protest was called off after the resignation of the VC.[2]
