Chemmanur Devassy Kutty Boby popularly known as Dr Boby Chemmanur (born 26 May 1964) is an Indian who is a popular businessman, social media influencer, and investor from South India.
He is also a world-famous philanthropist. Boby is a businessman of gold and owns the ‘Boby Chemmanur International Group. He is also known as the World Record holder. Boby is famous for his working style. He grew up from nothing to a famous businessman in no time. He has appeared in many magazines and is very well known for his sharp mind and dealing with problems quickly. He is also the chairman, founder, and managing director of ‘Vision for Life Charitable Trust’.

Though born to a business family, initially Boby's interests were not in business. However, over the course of time, he became one of the most reputed businessmen because very special reason. You can call it Boby Chemmanur's Life Vision. While in school, Boby happened to read a book on Mother Teresa and it became a life-changing event. He was totally inspired by the purity of love and sacrifice shown by Mother Teresa towards humanity. Boby realized the path he was to follow and also understood that to achieve his goals, he needed considerable resources. At the same time, he was not willing to accept donations to fulfil his vision but using the business profit only. He decided to work hard and made unique business strategies to successfully grow his family enterprises so as to accomplish of his life vision. And what followed, is history. Dr Boby Chemmanur's business empire straddles India, the Middle East, Malaysia and USA, as jewellery, non-banking financial company, Phygicart E-Commerce, Boby Bazaar, Timeshare Oxygen Resorts and Boby Tours & Travels bringing direct and indirect employment to thousands. Keeping in mind, Dr. Boby successfully completed an 812 Km. marathon, with the slogan "Give Blood, Save Life", from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, creating awareness about the necessity of donating blood. People from all walks of life whole-heartedly participated in the run and registered their names in the blood donors data bank, culminating in the Boby Friends Blood Bank collecting around 5,00,000 blood donors' data from across the state! In the concluding ceremony at Thiruvananthapuram, 1250 families were distributed financial assistance between Rs. 25,000 to 1,00,000 by the Chief Minister of Kerala. Now, the Blood-Bank has a 24x7 helpline service that caters to the needy all over Kerala. This 812 km run[1] earned him a place in India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records and the Unique World Records and Honorary Doctorate Degree from World Records University. One of his major interests is sports. He is an expert in Football, Marathon, Arm wrestling, Shooting, Archery, Swimming and martial arts like Kung-fu and Karate. He is well known not only for his business success but also for his interest in sports and adventure. He was the soul mate of the football legend, Diego Maradona.[2]Sports and adventures are always his areas of interest. An avid sportsman, his interest is not confined to sitting in the galleries, but actively playing Sports such as football, shooting, running, karate etc. on an everyday basis. He handed over his two acres of land worth rupees 12 crores, to the people who left homeless due to the landslide in Wayanad. When the pandemic covid-19 affected the entire world, Boby did a lot to help the people who suffered. Participated in the ‘break the chain’ campaign conducted by the Govt. of Kerala, distributed free food kits for the needy, provided helicopter for the government, donated mobile quarantine rooms, arranged free transportation for the people who couldn’t reach the homeland. Provided mobile phones, TV, tablets etc for the students to attend the online classes. Boby’s 1000 house project is for the people who are homeless. Recently he becomes the icon of social media for his timely interventions in various social issues. As a part of the charity, he is providing food and shelter for thousands of people across India. Excluding the poor homes, he is on the assignment to give a thousand homes for the poor. During the ever big flood in Kerala, he became the superhero of the land. He directly participated in the rescue operation and saved hundreds of people. He served food, medicines and clothes for the thousands, affected by the flood. He is the only business person who has a fans association. It is only because of his unique way to help the poor. Not like other fans association, Boby fans charitable trust is well known for their charity activities. Dr Boby Chemmanur is the Chairman and Managing Director of Chemmanur International Group. This group has a trusted tradition of 158 years, based in Kerala and branches across India, the Middle East, Malaysia and the United States of America. Boby was born on 26th May 1969 into a business family in Thrissur, Central Kerala. His father, Devassy Kutty, was a retired Indian Air Force Officer and mother, Sisily, a housewife. He has a younger brother and a younger sister and now lives in Kozhikode with his wife, Smitha and daughter, Anna.
