Ron Foxcroft
Ron Foxcroft (born November 5, 1945) is a Canadian businessman and former basketball referee. He is the chairman, founder, and CEO of Fox 40 International and CEO and chairman of the Fluke Transportation Group.[1] He is Chair of Hamilton International John C. Munro Airport. He resides in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
Foxcroft is the first Canadian to officiate NCAA Division I Basketball. He officiated Michael Jordan's first college game and officiated the 1976 Olympic Gold Medal Basketball Game.
Foxcroft has received many awards; he was invested into the Order of Canada, received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from McMaster University, was named Citizen of the Year in Hamilton and Burlington, and was a recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal. He received the NASO Gold Whistle Award, and Profit Magazine named him one of ten Entrepreneurs of the Decade. He is inducted into the Burlington Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame and Hamilton and Burlington Sports Hall of Fame.
Foxcroft is the Former Honorary Colonel of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's). In 2015, he had an audience with Queen Elizabeth.
As of 2021[update] Foxcroft was CEO of both Fluke Transportation and Fox 40 International Inc. He is employed by the NBA, formerly as an official's observer and later as a courtside administrator.[1] Foxcroft also works as a motivational speaker and supports several charitable causes.[2]
