The Royal Order of the Golden Fire Dog was established in the Royal House of Sefwi Obeng-Mim. The order was founded by His Majesty Chief Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II.[1][not in citation given][2][not in citation given][3] It is a chivalric dynastic order of merit. [4][unreliable source?] The order was created to promote the ancient traditions of Asafo, the protectors of the Kingdom. Members of this royal order, are devoted to aiding the development of the kingdom.[5][unreliable source?][6][not in citation given] The Kingdom of Sefwi-Obeng Mim, dates back to 1935, when the Native Authorities Ordinance was in effect[7], by H.M. Chief Nana Kwame Obeng I.[8] The Kingdom of Sewfi-Obeng Mim, is a subnational kingdom and is constitutionally acknowledged in Ghana.[9][10][unreliable source?][11]
