Thangavel Pranavan (born March 9, 1988)[1] better known by his stage name RT Rana,[citation needed]

Career

Radio

He began his career in 2009,[2] as an announcer.[citation needed] Later, he joined Tamilpavai FM and anchored the Nanpanda show and the Today Star show. He currently works as a radio announcer at Radiotamizha FM.[3][4] Rana's announcing style is compared to Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Tamil language announcer K. S. Raja because both are speed Tamil radio announcers.

Now he is usually chosen as master of ceremony for many government and non-government Tamil events, especially. He has also been a presenter at the Consulate General of India, Jaffna, India in Sri Lanka.[5]

Rana has hosted many major Tamil events in Sri Lanka such as Tamil Sangam events, especially Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar’s Tirukkuṟaḷ Vizha day, Kite Festival in Valvettithurai – this is a very notable festival in Sri Lanka. and he has also hosted Sri Lankan health programs especially World malaria day program and Kilinochchi Hospital new year and sports programs and non communicable diseases awareness program[disambiguation needed] organized by regional director of health service kilinochchi.

Rana also made a special announcer in the private company programs. Unilever and Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Limited, especially Unilever company, has donated a cheque of LKR 1.5 million to Tellippalai Hospital through their future generations program. Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Limited sponsored Kite Festival in Valvettithurai; he was the advertisement announcer for Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Limited.
