2016[edit]

The 7th annual Rugged Maniac at Southwick drew in 8,000 participants on Saturday alone, not including several thousand spectators. New obstacles, such as Bang the Gong and Blobstacle were introduced. [1]

2010[edit]

The first ever Rugged Maniac was held at this venue in Southwick, Massachusetts, hosting over 2000 racers.[2] Former lawyer, Brad Scudder, used all of his savings to promote and create Rugged Maniac. Obstacles back then included a now discontinued obstacle which involved dodging swinging tires.[3]
