History[edit]
2016[edit]
Rugged Maniac Oklahoma City 2016 was held in the Wake Zone Cable Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The course featured 25 obstacles over a length of 5 kilometers.[1][2] This event was highlighted by upsets of the defending champions for both the male and female portions of the race. Brian Pinta narrowly edged out previous OKC champion Lonnie Yates by 4 seconds, while Shanna Sears beat Randi Lackey for the first place female title. Sears was the runner-up to Lackey in Rugged Maniac Oklahoma City 2015.
Exhibition booths were onsite by local and national sponsors: Harpoon Brewery, Dave & Buster's, Gold's Gym in Oklahoma City, The Weight Room OKC, Organic Squeeze, United States Air Force Recruiting, Le-Vel Supplements, XS Blast, American Energy Fitness Center, Dude Wipes, and Riversport Adventures. Over 3,000 participants and 800 spectators were on site.[3]
