Rupali Kalita is a leading woman banker of India. Kalita was the Managing director and CEO of North East Small Finance Bank[1][2][3], [4]director of RGVN North East Microfinance Bank ltd [5]currently director of Sarala Development and Microfinance Private limited. She has 33 years of experience in banking and finance sector.

Kalita was awarded Global Alliance for Banking on Values in 2021 for banking,[6] Shrimoyee award for the year 2022[7] in the field of banking sector in small finance Bank by government of Assam.MSME award 2024 for North East Small Microfinance Bank.[8][9] Currently in board of directors as independent director of RGVN (North East) Microfinance Private limited.[10] Best Small Microfinance Bank award [11]
Early life
Born in Assamese family from Diphu Karbi Anglong district of Assam . She have two brothers younger to her .
Career
Kalita was trainee in Langpi Dehangi Rural Bank later became Senior manager in the same bank for 20 years. She was General Manager of State Bank of India in Guwahati Zone, Assam. She has worked as independent director of RGVN North East Microfinance Private limited for 10 years.For nearly two years as Managing director and CEO of North East Microfinance Bank.
