Rush Gaming Universe (RGU), commonly known as the Rush App, is an online gaming platform. Founded in 2019 by Kavin Bharti Mittal, the company currently offers 10 games in categories such as card, casual, sports, arcade games and cue sports.
History[edit]
After Hike Messenger's closure on 14 January 2021, Mittal pivoted the company to focus on building the Rush Gaming Universe, a skill gaming mobile app. In August 2021, they announced an undisclosed round of funding led by Tinder cofounder Justin Mateen.[1] The round also saw participation from SoftBank Vision Fund CEO Rajeev Misra, Tinder co-founder Sean Rad, Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, CRED founder Kunal Shah, and others.
In February 2022, Mittal announced that Polygon had joined Hike's list of investors and partners, with the Rush Gaming Universe confirming[2] its rumoured plans for blockchain gaming and NFT.[3] In May 2022, Hike announced an undisclosed round of funding from web3 investors Jump Capital, Tribe Capital and Republic Crypto, the blockchain investment arm of Republic Capital.[4]
