Ryan Carlton Victor is a young enthralling Indian singer-songwriter, composer, music director and entrepreneur. With over a decade of experience in the music industry, this 34 year old charismatic artist has a string of releases to his name and is considered to be a successful music director/ singer in the film & advertisement industry.

Early Life

Ryan Carlton Victor was born on July 5, 1992, in Mumbai, India to parents Smita Victor, a retired G.M. in hospitality and an enthusiastic homemaker, and Christopher Victor, a retired G.M. in the garment sector. He also has a younger sister, Chrismita, a promising young entrepreneur herself. Ryan spent his academic career in St. Xavier’s Fort, Mumbai to Wilson College, Mumbai for high school and college. Ryan describes his family as “a musically talented bunch” and forever credits his mother with being the inspiration he needed and pushing him to constantly do better. While his mother brought him the insights and musical vibe of Bollywood legends, filling the house with her melodious singing, his father brought in the legends from the west. And these interests built the musical foundations that he carries close to his heart even today.

2011- 2013: Career beginning

He first found success at the age of 19, when he worked as an assistant music director to music directors Bobby-Imran in two short feature films "Ishq holiday" and "The Saviour" for Kunal Kohli Productions. His passion and interest in music awakened furthermore during his college years in Wilson. There he participated in countless singing competitions and gained recognition amongst everyone for his terrific vocals. Back then, he was a part of a band named "Pepper Souls" as the lead vocalist and guitarist. Drenched in the glory of musical fame and charm, his melodious voice and terrific band performances gave him the opportunity to perform at multiple stages and gain numerous wins. He reached an exciting plateau when he signed up as a playback singer in the movie "Mai", starring Asha Bhosle, back in 2013.

2014- 2015: The Band Scene (Indie Music)

In August 2014, he got together with four talented young men and formed the ‘Ryan Victor Project’. Ryan blended every music genre, starting from Heavy metal, slow love songs, trending pop songs, classic rock, alternative rock, etc. and created a breathtaking playlist for RVP. Having started out by winning their first gig together at the NM college’s Umang festival in Mumbai to having an unbeatable winning streak of band wars & performances till their last gig in BITS Pilani Goa SeaRock fest. Ryan and his band RVP had already influenced the youth’s minds with their outstanding performances and lively music.

2016 - 2019: Climbing the ladder

In November 2016, Ryan continued as an Assistant Music Director and joined Gaurav Dagaonkar into further releasing music videos like Tum Khoobsurat Ho, Pyaar Ke Charche, web series like Dev DD along with TVC for Birla Gold Cement and feature films like Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.

During the span of time in 2017, he also worked as a playback singer and featured in films like "Kung Fu Yoga" starring Jackie chan and "Dil Jo Na Keh Saka" featuring Himansh Kohli.

With the success and growth in December 2018, Ryan further went on to join G-Sharp Media Pvt. Ltd., a digital music content company, as their COO and spear-headed their music operations. With his expertise in the field, Songfest was successfully able to release originals like Kahe Koi Aansoo with Lagnajita Chakraborty, Rapid Fire & Dholan Mende with Abhijit Pohankar along with covers like Pyaar Ke Charche with Shalmali Kholgade, Bekarar Karke, Bolna, Agar Tum Saath Ho & many more. Ryan also released a re-imagining cover of Ed Sheeran’s "Perfect", which became a sensational hit on YouTube.

2019 – Current: CEO & Music Director - ZEMA Music

In December of 2019, Ryan took his passion along with his entrepreneurial skills and started his own venture as Founder & Music Director at ZEMA Music Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary firm to ZEMA Inc. Ryan’s right guidance and direction took ZEMA to attain brand succession, collaborations and relationships with clients like Star Plus, Alt Balaji, Hotstar, Amazon India, Toyota, Viacom18, MX Player, Elica amongst many more.

In 2020, he went on to win the Business Icon Award for ZEMA Music presented to him by Mid-Day India and also won the ProMax Asia award for "Dhik Chik Nick" with Nickelodeon. Later at the end of 2020, Ryan hit the road to level up his music career and took the decision to release his original singles in the following year 2021, along with their music videos. On 12th March 2021, Ryan premiered his first single, "Te Quiero", under the label of ZEMA music.
