Sándor Köleséri, (25 April 1972, Miskolc - ) is a Hungarian actor, performer and stand-up comedian.

Biography[edit]

He was born on 1972, he spent his childhood in Miskolc city.[1] He came into contact with the theater after various detours when, in 1995, entrepreneur György Klapka sought dwarfs and people from Liliput for a theater performance because of his low stature (132 cm) just matched. Since then, he has shown his talents in numerous stage roles, films and television shows. From time to time he appears in commercials and video clips both at home and abroad.

Stage roles[edit]

His first major stage role in Gulliver's Lilliput in 1995 was the character of "The Duke of Cliff".[2] The play was directed by János Novák at the Thalia Theater. Later he worked with such directors at home and abroad as István Verebes, Gábor Máté, Péter Gothár, Zsolt Pozsgai, Károly Eperjes or Silviu Purcărete from Romania. He has performed regularly over the years at the Szigliget Theater in Szolnok, the Örkény Theater in Budapest, the Erkel Theater, the Hungarian Theater in Pest and the Hungarian National Theater. Beyond the border he also performed in the Jókai Theater in Komárom and in Chamber Theater Arad (Romania).

Other activities[edit]

He shows his versatility by acting as an organizer of lectures and literary readings, and even as a stand-up comedian, he appeared in first season of Hungarian tv-show "Comedy Central Presents". Sándor Köleséri talks about the problems affecting dwarves.

Over the years, he has also been involved in TV commercials and video clips. He has worked with several famous Hungarian musicians and bands, such as Odett, Majka, Sub Bass Monster, Magdolna Ruzsa and Kispal and Borz.[3]
