S8UL Esportsis an Indian esports and content creation organization established in 2018 through a partnership between Team SouL and 8Bit Creatives. HISTORY
S8UL Esports is an Indian esports and content creation organization formed in 2020 through the merger of Team SouL and 8Bit Creatives. The organization was founded by Naman "MortaL" Mathur, Animesh "8Bit Thug" Agarwal, and Lokesh "8Bit Goldy" Jain. In March 2025, Sumit Sovasaria joined as a co-founder to strengthen the organization's leadership team.
Team SouL, established in 2018 by Naman "MortaL" Mathur, gained prominence by winning the PUBG Mobile India Series (PMIS) in 2019, securing a prize of ₹30 lakhs. The team, comprising players such as MortaL, Viper, Ronak, and Owais, further achieved success by winning the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) Spring Split India 2019[12][13],, which qualified them for the global finals in Berlin.
Following the merger, S8UL Esports combined competitive esports with content creation. The organization has participated in various tournaments, including the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) South Asia. In 2022, S8UL Esports achieved significant milestones in both competitive gaming and content creation. The organization emerged victorious in the PUBGNew State Mobile Open, organized by The Esports Club[14], securing a total of 116 points and 51 finishes in the Grand Finals. Player Sypher was named the MVP of the event with 19 finishes. The team took home a cash prize of ₹5 lakhs, while the MVP Sypher was awarded ₹1 lakh.
In the realm of content creation, S8UL Esports was honored with the 'Content Group of the Year' award at the Esports Awards 2022[15][16], recognizing its excellence in gaming content creation on a global scale.
Continuing its trajectory, S8UL Esports retained the 'Content Group of the Year' title at the Esports Awards 2023[17][18], marking its second consecutive win this category. The organization also represented India at the 2023 Pokémon UNITE World Championship [19], held in Yokohama, Japan, after winning the national qualifiers.
In 2024, S8UL Esports achieved a historic milestone by winning the 'Content Group of the Year' award at the Esports Awards for the third consecutive year, becoming the first esports organization globally to do so. Additionally, S8UL received the 'Fan Engagement' badge in the 'Ones to Watch Class of 2024' category, acknowledging its efforts in building a strong and interactive community.
In the same year, S8UL's content creator Payal Dhare, known as Payal Gaming, won the 'Mobile Streamer of the Year' award at the MOBIES 2024, highlighting her influence and talent in the gaming community.
In 2025, S8UL Esports continued its expansion into various esports titles, including Call of Duty: Warzone, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Chess, in preparation for the Esports World Cup 2025. The organization also entered the real-time strategy genre by signing South Korean professional player Koh "GuMiho" Pyung Jae for StarCraft II[20].

The gaming house serves as the central hub for S8UL's esports teams, content creators, and administrative operations. It is equipped with amenities such as streaming cabins, living quarters, recreational areas, and content creation spaces . The facility accommodates over 25 content creators and professional players, supporting the organization's activities in titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Pokémon UNITE, and VALORANT .
