SATHEE, Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams, is a free online education platform developed by the Ministry of Education (India) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). The platform provides students with educational resources, expert mentorship, and self-assessment tools to support preparation for national entrance exams, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), and Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examinations. The initiative aims to improve accessibility to educational resources, particularly for students in rural and economically disadvantaged communities.[1]

In March 2023, India Today reported that SATHEE (Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams) is a free, self-paced online assessment platform developed by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The platform is designed to support students preparing for entrance examinations such as the JEE and the NEET.[2][3]

In December 2023, the Ministry of Education announced a 45-day JEE crash course on the SATHEE platform, available in five languages, and the development of an AI-based translation tool supporting 22 Indian languages.[4]

In July 2024, the Ministry of Education issued a press release stating that SATHEE offers features such as AI-based assessment tools, NCERT video solutions, live classes, and content broadcast via Direct-to-Home (DTH) platforms.[5]
